Just this past year we have added one additional internet access terminal in the adult reference area, and for those who just need to look at the catalog, we have a free standing kiosk at the entrance of the adult reference room. Computer use is steady, and with the addition of these two terminals everyone seems accommodated comfortably.
Hi - this is Mary, the teen librarian, and I also love Macs. We have three of them in the teen room, including a new iMac. I'd love to get one or two in reference, but, in the meantime, if you're not a teen, you're welcome to use our macs in the evening or during school hours. The teens do have priority after school and on film club nights.
The two eMacs aren't brand new, but they have been updated to the latest version of Tiger and have iMovie HD and Garageband 2. The new iMac is, of course, really nice - running Leopard, both iMovie 8 and iMovie HD, and Garageband 3. All three macs have Microsoft Office installed as well. I hope you'll find this info helpful.
